Kris Garra, Owner
Kris grew up with a variety of dogs including Labrador Retrievers, a Beagle mix, a Flat Coated Retrievers, a Doberman Pincher, a Newfoundland and a few other breeds and mixed breeds! For only a short period of Kris' life did she not have dogs. During that time, she focused on her corporate career. Kris held senior management positions with Barnes & Noble and Bertelsmann, AG when she lived in NY. She relocated to Chicago in 1999 where she consulted for Fortune 100 companies and renewed her love of working with dogs. Kris began to train dogs two days a week at Call of the Wild. She eventually became Regional Manager for Paws With A Cause, training Assistance Dogs to help people with disabilities and started competing with her first Golden Retriever, Lexi. Kris continued to grow her canine family and canine career! Kris began to compete more in agility with her dogs. Over the years, Kris had to rehab two of her dogs. The closest location was an hour and a half drive each way. The concept for Team K9 Fitness, LLC was hatched and came to fruition in 2008.  

Teri Baughman, Canine Fitness Consultant
Seven years ago, Teri Baughman developed and began to pursue her interest in canine rehabilitation after her golden retriever "Catie" was injured and required rehab to recover. Teri found her true calling. Teri loves working one on one with clients and their pets. Having experienced rehabilitation with her own dog, Teri understands client fears and desire to understand the injury. Teri has been trained at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Teri competes in conformation, which provides a valuable eye when evaluating stride and movement in dogs. Teri also competes in obedience and is training for agility. Teri brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Team K9 Fitness, LLC.
